Maya & Mike Stenhouse Discuss and Debate the Values of a Green Amendment for Climate & Jobs.

It is important we share our Green Amendment message with all people from all political perspectives, and never assume people will disagree or may not be open to learning more and perhaps changing their perspective from one of opposition to one of support.

Last month, Maya did just that when she joined Mike Stenhouse in The Dugout for a conversation about the Rhode Island Green Amendment and its impacts regarding energy, climate and jobs.

This “Debate,” as Mike called it, shows that we can have fun working towards common ground as long as we remain positive, engaged and open.

Book Clubs are a Great Way to Spread the Word and Build our Green Amendment Community.

Maya joined the Michigan Environmental Book Club to explore the stories and values of a Green Amendment for Michigan, our nation and world.

If you have a book club you’d like Maya to join, send us a message at GAFTG@ForTheGenerations.org and we can work with you to get a great discount on books and set up a time to talk

Green Amendment Day 2025 was simply ART-Standing!

When we first decided to host a Community Art Gallery in celebration of National Green Amendment Day, we weren’t sure what to expect…. Suffice it to say, we were BLOWN AWAY by the uniqueness, creativity, and pure passion of the 27 submitted pieces from Green Amendment advocates nationwide! Check out the Art Gallery here, and be inspired by the Green Amendments values woven into many art forms, from poetry, to paintings, to music, to textiles, to photographs!

One of our favorite pieces is the Community Poem: A Call for Protection from Communities, which features a collection of voices from the movement about the need for Green Amendment protections. Take a listen and watch the video if you are looking for a bit of fun and inspiration.

Green Amendment Constitutional Expert Educates Us All

A recording is available NOW of this great interview with state constitution expert Professor Williams and GAFTG Founder Maya K. van Rossum, where they explore the people power behind state constitutions that make them effective tools for protecting the social values we hold dear!

Watch the full interview, featuring a Green Amendment Day welcome and Q&A session with Maya HERE.
